Highlights from our April Meeting

Jim Brozena

The April Stated Meeting of Lodge 531 featured a presentation about Flood Protection of the Wyoming Valley by Jim Brozena P.E., Director of Flood Protection for Luzerne County. Brozena discussed the devastation caused by the flooding in September 2011 as well as the measures that prevented a much larger catastrophe. His presentation also explained future measures that will be taken to prepare for and prevent flood damage.

The Lodge also agreed to make a donation of $200 to the Back Mountain Food Pantry Garden which provides homegrown vegetables to coincide with its distribution of foods to local families in need. A $100 donation was also made to the Luzerne County Autism Coalition.
